A man who confessed to killing his girlfriend in St. Thomas has been charged with her murder.
He is Kemar Lawson.
The St. Thomas Police say Lawson strangled his girlfriend, Latisha Bravo, after the two had a dispute.
Lawson hid Miss Bravo’s body under his bed and went to work.
Upon returning home, he took the woman’s body and buried her in a shallow grave close to the beach.
Head of the St .Thomas Police, Superintendent Merline Christie, says Miss Bravo was reported missing by relatives. Her last known address was in St. Thomas where Lawson lived.
Miss Bravo’s body was discovered at Lawson’s premises close to the beach in Duhaney Pen in the parish.
Lawson was then taken in custody for questioning. He later confessed to her murder.
When he appeared in the St. Thomas parish court last Friday, he was remanded in custody.
Lawson’s next court appearance will be in May.
