State Finance Minister Upbeat about Economic Outlook


State Minister in the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, Fayval Williams, is expressing confidence in the nation’s economic outlook in the coming new year.

Mrs. Williams says she’s expecting more job creation and improvements in the agriculture sector, that was battered by persistent rains this year.

Mrs. Williams singled out Tax Administration Jamaica, TAJ, for high commendations.

The State Minister says the TAJ has been improving it’s collection methodology. She says this has resulted in an increase in the amount of money collected in tax revenue.

Minister Williams was speaking at a recently-held Christmas Treat for children in her St. Andrew Eastern constituency.
