Contractor General, Dirk Harrison, says Jamaica’s political leaders should ‘stop forsaking’ the country’s independence and sovereignty for international help.
His comment comes as he’s intensified his probe into the US-multi-million dollar North-South Highway contract between the government of Jamaica and China Harbour Engineering Company, CHEC.
Pointing to the mounting questions about the controversial project, Mr. Harrison says it’s ’cause for concern’.
Mr. Harrison says his message is for both major political parties which have formed the government.
He says a greater level of maturity is needed of politicians to act in the interest of the country and the Jamaican people.
Contractor General, Dirk Harrison was speaking last evening at a ceremony in celebration 29 years of the Kiwanis Club of Stony Hill.
