Strong Field for Women’s 200m in Zurich Diamond League


Elaine Thompson says the 200-metres line-up for today’s Zurich Diamond league meet is stronger than the line-up for the finals at the Rio Olympics.

Thompson will get strong competition from compatriots Veronica Campbell-Brown and Simone Facey.

Dutch woman Dafne Schippers and Allyson Felix of the United States are also strong contenders.

Schippers says she’s looking forward to renew her rivalry with Thompson.

Rio Olympic finalist, Christania Williams will face the starter in the women’s 100-metres.

Megan Simmonds competes in the 100-metres hurdles. Meanwhile, Omar McLeod and Asafa Powell will clash in the Men’s 100-metres.
