Strong Finishes At Monaco Meet


Elaine Thompson, Daniel Williams and Natoya Goule all finished second at the IAAF Diamond League meet in Monaco, today.

In the women’s 200-metres, Thompson posted 22.44-seconds to finish behind Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas, who ran a season’s best 22.9-seconds.

Williams ran a season’s best 12.52-seconds in the women’s 100-metres hurdles, where she finished second.

Her country woman, Janeek Brown was 4th.

Goule ran a season’s best 1.57.90-seconds in the women’s 800-metres hurdles.

She finished behind the the USA’s Ajee Wilson who posted a season’s best 1.57.73-seconds.

In the women’s 400-metres hurdles, Janieve Russell finished 4th, while Rushell Clayton finished 5th.

The event was won by Sydney Mclaughlin of the USA in a world leading 53.32-seconds.
