Tardiness Costing CARICOM Much-Needed Donor Funding

Deputy Secretary-General of CARICOM, Ambassador Manorma Soeknandan, says the regional body is losing millions of dollars in donor funding for failing to implement projects on time.

She made the revelation while speaking last evening on Nationwide @ 5 with Tyrone Reid and Kemesha Kelly.

Ambassador Soeknandan says more political will is needed to implement regional integration projects under CARICOM.

She says CARICOM member states have dithered on some projects relating to the promotion of free movement of people within the Region.

Jamaica along with the CARICOM Secretariat will be hosting a three-day sensitisation seminar on the CARICOM Gender Sensitive Results-Based Management System, RBM, and the CARICOM Strategic Plan for 2015 to 2019.
