Opposition Spokesman on Finance and Planning, Dr. Peter Phillips says its clear that the Government will not be able to fulfill its promise of further raising the income tax threshold for Jamaicans.

Dr. Phillips says the tax measures that were announced are already making life harder for Jamaicans.

He says all stakeholders in the country should learn from the way in which the-then Opposition JLP went about proposing its tax plan.

Meanwhile, Dr.Phillips says the recent budget threatens to derail the gains that the country has made in education.
