Teacher Murdered in ‘Crime of Passion’


The Trelawny Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Dexter Dacres, a teacher at the St. James High School.

Mr. Dexter’s decomposing body was this morning found inside his home in New Haven, Granville in Trelawny.

Commanding Officer for the parish, Superintedent Clive Blair says relatives had reported Mr. Dacres missing on Monday.

Superintendent Blair says the Police are theorising that Mr. Dacres was killed in a crime of passion.

Meanwhile a Vice Principal at St. James High School, who gave her name only as Mrs. Panton, says the staff is shaken by Mr. Dacres’ death.
