The Convenor of the Tivoli Committee, Lloyd D’Aguilar is rejecting suggestions that he misrepresented witnesses in statements that he prepared on their behalf, which were then submitted to the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry.
During her testimony at the Enquiry yesterday, a witness, Minette Lindsay, admitted that she didn’t have direct knowledge of some of the things stated in her signed statement.
She was being cross examined by attorney for the Jamaica Defence Force, Linton Gordon and Commission Chairman, Sir David Simmons.
However, Mr. D’Aguilar says the suggestions are an attempt to smear him.
Mr. D’Aguilar says the statements bear only what was told to him by the witnesses.
He says if Ms. Lindsay is backtracking now, it’s not his fault.
