Thompson Runs 10.89s To Win 100m At Rome Diamond League Meet


World and Olympic champion, Elaine Thompson, ran a world leading 10.89-seconds in winning the women’s 100-metres at the Rome diamond League meet, today.

Thomson finished ahead of Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith and Aleia Hobbs of the United states.

Shericka Jackson was 2nd in the women’s 400-metres, with compatriot Stephenie-Ann McPherson 3rd.

In the women’s 400-metres hurdles Janieve Russell was 5th.

Meanwhile, O’Dayne Richards was 6th in the men’s shot put.
