Three St. James residents are dead and two remain in hospital following two separate shooting incidents in the parish yesterday.
Dead are 21-year-old Romaine Robinson, 22-year-old Sherice Martin Corbet and 44-year-old Raymond Dias.
The first incident occurred on Rough Road in Glendevon.
The Police say they got reports of explosions in the area at about 8:50 yesterday morning.
On their arrival, Robinson was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he died.
Just over an hour later, the second incident occurred on Miriam Way in the parish.
The Mount Salem Police say about 10:15 the Rose Height labourer and another man were walking on the road when they were pounced upon by a lone gunman who opened fire hitting them.
The Police were alerted and they were taken to the hospital.
Dias otherwise called Dallas was pronounced dead and the other man admitted.
Within 30 minutes a woman was gunned down and a man injured in the community of Red Dirt.
The Coral Gardens Police say the 22-year-old was also killed while on the street.
Both persons were walking when they were attacked by a gunman who opened fire hitting them. They were rushed to hospital by the police.
Corbet died and the injured man was admitted.
Detectives assigned to the St. James police division have launched investigations into the shooting incidents.
No motive has yet been established for the killings.
