Three St Elizabeth Residents facing Drug Charges


Three St. Elizabeth residents are facing drug charges.

Police say detectives attached to the Narcotics Division arrested the three men on Monday in the parish capital, Black River.

Reports are around 6 Monday evening, Police were carrying out a special operation in the area when they stopped and searched a motor vehicle in which the three men were traveling.

They say they found 4.5-kilograms of cocaine worth an estimated $5-million.

The men were taken into custody and the motor vehicle seized.

The men are expected to be charged after being interviewed in the presence of their attorneys.
