Thwaites Bats for Greater Public Participation in Making Legislation

Member of Parliament for Central Kingston, Reverend Ronald Thwaites says change is needed to make Parliament more active in the legislative process.

Speaking with Nationwide News recently, Mr. Thwaites says the Parliament has been reduced to being a rubber stamping authority.

Reverend Thwaites says too often legislation is only discussed in Gordon House after it has already been drafted in the form of a Bill.

He says greater public participation in the drafting of legislation is also needed.
