Opposition Spokesman on Education, Rev. Ronald Thwaites, is calling on the government to provide clarity to parents on the payment of auxiliary fees.
This is one of several issues raised by the People’s National Party, today, with the new school year two weeks away.
Rev. Thwaites says the education system lacks adequate resources.
So, he’s calling on those who’re able to make the auxiliary payments to do so.
Meanwhile, the PNP says based on their calculations it could cost some parents up to $100,000 in total back to school expenses.
Rev. Thwaites says some students at the primary level are paying up to $60,000 for the text books on the standards curriculum.
