Toddler Among Five Shot, One Dead, in Vineyard Town


One man’s dead and four others including a toddler wounded following a shooting incident in Vineyard Town St. Andrew this morning.

The Police are currently on the scene of the shooting incident.

The four injured people include three women and a minor.

The shooting incident took place at a private medical facility in Vineyard Town just after ten this morning.

According to preliminary information, three men entered the medical facility with guns.

Nationwide understands the men began spraying bullets in the direction of a male patient.

He was reportedly shot several times.

It’s understood that upon making their escape they fired more shots in the facility which hit three women and a 3-year-old boy.

Nationwide understands the injured persons were rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital, KPH.

Nationwide understands all the injured victims were conscious when they were being assisted by civilians.

It’s understood most of them may’ve suffered leg injuries. Eye witnesses say the gunmen escaped in a green station wagon. Several members of the Constabulary are now on the scene.

They’ve cordoned off Deanery road. Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes.
