The St Ann police are reporting two teen boys have been charged in connection with the death of 14-year-old Ocho Rios High School student, Raven Wilson.
One of the boys has been charged with murder. The other has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
It’s understood statements were collected and a file submitted to the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, who ruled that the boys be charged.
The ruling came last Thursday and the teens brought before the St Ann’s Bay Parish Court. Both boys were remanded in custody.
The 14-year-old schoolgirl was reported missing last month when she didn’t make it home from school. Her body was discovered days later about 5-minutes away from her home in the Top Road community of St. Ann’s Bay.
In the meantime, Head of the St Ann Police, Senior Superintendent SSP Michael Smith, says despite efforts to ease tensions among residents in the community there are still signs of anger towards the family members of the teen boys.
Efforts to get a comment from the victim’s mother last evening proved futile.
