Victoria Jubilee to Install Surveillance Cameras This Week


The Victoria Jubilee Hospital says it is to install surveillance cameras at the facility this week.

This, as there’s still uncertainty over how a woman, suspected of stealing a baby from the maternity hospital yesterday, got on the compound.

Jamaica Constabulary Force detectives are still searching for the two-day-old baby who was reportedly stolen from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital yesterday.

Matron at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, in Kingston, Elise Fairweather Blackwood, says the mother noticed her baby was missing after returning from the bathroom.

She says the incident happened outside of visiting hours.

She says the hospital had been discussing the installation of cameras at the facility.
