Ward Theatre Renovations to Be Completed within Months

Kingston Mayor Delroy Williams says renovation on the Ward Theatre located downtown is expected to be completed in upcoming months.

Since the project got underway last April, more than fifteen million dollars have been spent to revamp the facility.

Works done so far include installation of drywall ceiling and sanitary fixtures, termite treatment, restroom repairs and installation of a waterproof membrane on the roof.

The more than a century old theatre is just one of several projects under the Kingston Redevelopment Plan.

The Flag Circle recreational park broke ground in June, and Mayor Williams says the recreational park envisioned for South Parade is up next. This, he is, is scheduled to kick start in three months.
