Motorists travelling on the Charles Town Main Road in Portland are being urged to exercise extreme caution due to falling rocks.
Stephen Shaw is the Head of Communications and Customer Services at the National Works Agency, NWA.
He says it’s still unclear what caused the bush fire but notes the heat could also be a factor.
Mr. Shaw says while there are warning signs and mechanisms in place rocks continue to make their way onto the roadway.
He was speaking this afternoon with Nationwide News.
