Deputy General Secretary of the Jamaica Labour Party, Audley Gordon says its too soon to say what decision the party will make regarding the process to select a candidate for the constituency of West Central St. Catherine.

In a release last night the party indicated that it had discontinued the selection process for a candidate to replace Dr. Ken Baugh in the next general elections.

Senator Christopher Tufton, Councillor Devon Wint and attorney-at-law Kent Gammon, are vying to replace Dr. Baugh.

When contacted last evening Dr. Tufton, expressed surprise at the party’s decision, saying he had not been formally notified.

Mr. Gordon says the party is still in the process of informing the three aspirants.
