The West Indies ended the Group stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup undefeated, following their 54-runs win via the Duckworth Lewis Method over the Netherlands, today.
Batting first, the Windies led by half-centuries from Evin Lewis, Marlon Samuels and Rovman Powell made 309 for 6 to end the dutch’s quest for a place in the super-6.
Lewis made 84 included 6-fours and 4-sixes, Samuels hit 5-fours in his unbeaten 73, while Powell made 52 from 38 balls.
In reply, the Netherlands made 167 for 6 inside 29-overs when rain stopped play.
Wesley Barresi made 64 while Ryan ten Doeschate was unbeaten on 67.
