Olympic gold medalist, Novelene Williams-Mills, is calling on the the public to join the fight against cancer in Jamaica.
She made the emotional appeal while addressing the launch of the Sagicor Sigma 5k road race.
The event was held at the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston yesterday.
The race will take place on February 21.
Mrs. Williams-Mills, who’s a survivor of breast cancer, is a patron of the event, which aims to raise 50-million dollars to help children with cancer.
Physician and Pediatric Oncologist, Dr. Michelle Reece-Mills, explains how the money would be spent.
