W’Indies End NZ Tour Empty-handed


The West Indies ended their tour of New Zealand winless after suffering a 119-run loss against the Black Caps in the 3rd and final T-20 at Mount Maunganui, today.

Batting first, the hosts made 243 for 5 off their 20 overs, with Colin Munro top scoring with a century and Martin Guptill chipping in with a half century.

Munro’s 104 came off 53 balls and included 3-fours and 10-sixes, while Guptill’s 63 included 7-boundaries.

In reply, the Windies were bowled out for 124 inside 17 overs, with Andre Fletcher 46 the only batsman to give the New Zealand bowlers any resistance.

Tim Southee finished with figures of 3 for 21 for the hosts.
