Despite the holiday period, the bloodletting across the island has continued with 11 people being murdered between Christmas Eve and today.

Police reports suggest that two people were murdered on Christmas Day.

The first occurred in the early morning in Point Hill District, St. Catherine.

Police reports are that about 2:45 AM, residents heard gunshots and alerted the police.

When they got there, police say they found the body of 32-year-old Andrew Samuels inside his home.

He had been shot in the head.

Meanwhile, in Manchester, a man was stabbed to death in Saw Mill district.

He’s 22 year old Chevaughn Bromfield from the parish.

Police reports are that about 3:20 AM, Bromfield was among a group of men when an altercation ensued.

One of the men pulled a knife and stabbed Bromfield multiple times.

The assailant then fled the scene.

Bromfield was pronounced dead at hospital.

Police are investigating both incidents.
