Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, says more than12,000 Jamaicans have benefited from the social pension scheme launched under the Andrew Holness Administration.
Dr. Clarke pointed to the measure as one of many achievements under the JLP government due to its strong fiscal management.
The finance minister urged a large gathering of party supporters at the Browns Town St. Ann Community college to spread the word about what the government has accomplished.
He also noted that more than nine-thousand workers in the tourism industry have saved a combined one-billion dollars towards their retirement due to the Holness administration.
