A 16-year-old boy has been slapped with multiple charges, including murder, following an incident on Seventh Street, Kingston, which left a man dead and a teenage girl injured in October of last year.
Reports are that at about 2:30pm on October 24, armed men kicked open the door to a house and shot and killed 21-year-old Shamar Muir.
The men also assaulted a teenage girl who was at the house.
Following an intensive probe, the 16-year-old, whose name has not been released, was charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Murder, Illegal Possession of Ammunition and House Break-In with Intent.
According to the Police, the teen, who is a resident of the area, was charged in the presence of his attorney on Tuesday.
He was in custody at the Metcalfe Juvenile Centre.
The police say are continuing investigations for the other perpetrators involved in the incident.
