The historic Methodist Church in St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann was destroyed by fire on Tuesday.

The building was believed to have been in existence for 180-years.

An electrical issue is suspected to have caused the blaze.

The building was quickly engulfed this morning and totally destroyed despite efforts by the St. Ann’s Bay Fire Brigade to out the blaze.

Losses are estimated to run into millions of dollars.

It’s not immediately clear whether the building was insured.
