Twenty four million dollars!

That’s how much the Jamaica Debates Commission, JDC, will be spending to host two political debates ahead of the local government elections on February 26.

Representatives of the Jamaica Labour Party will argue against their peers from the People’s National Party on Thursday, February 15 and Saturday, February 17.

The production will be done at the studios of the Creative Production and Training Centre on Arnold Road in Kingston.

Speaking at a press conference at the Terra Nova Hotel in St Andrew on Friday, JDC Commissioner and Vice-Chairman, Brian Schmidt says the debates will begin at 9:00 pm and run for 90 minutes.
