Golding Pledges to Make Patois a Formal Language

Opposition Leader, Mark Golding told comrades that the next PNP government will recognize patois as a formal language.

Mr. Golding says the use of patios in the teaching of key subjects in schools will result in improved outcomes.

Meanwhile, Mr. Golding says the next PNP administration will reinstate civics as a mandatory subject in public schools.

Education Minister Fayval Williams re-introduced civics in schools in December last year.

But school administrators say it has been challenging to find teachers for the curriculum.
