Two persons are dead, and four others are nursing gunshot wounds, following a gun attack in Hayes, Clarendon last night.

Among the dead is a 16 year old boy.

The individuals were reportedly standing along a roadway when they were attacked.

Head of the Clarendon Police, Senior Superintendent, Glenford Miller, provided an update to our news centre a short while ago.

SSP Miller confirmed that a school boy was murdered in the attack.

No motive has yet been established for the attack which left the teen boy dead.

The police say they have been unable to establish any firm leads in the matter.

However, it is believed the intended target of the gun attack managed to escape.

SSP Miller says the Hayes community is not one usually affected by violence.

He’s appealing for the public’s assistance in providing information.
