Students at the University of the Technology in Papine, St. Andrew, are restive as their impasse with the administration over the payment of school fees, has intensified.

President of the Utech Student’s Union, Delta Wright, says the union is yet to reach a resolution with the administration following a meeting held earlier this month.

According to Ms Wright, at the centre of the conflict is a new University payment plan introduced in the last academic year.

She says it’s making it difficult for many students to register for their courses.

Ms Wright says some students may not be able to complete their degrees due to the harsh payment plan.

Delta Wright, President of the Utech Student’s Union, speaking with Nationwide News.

Ms Wright says students are ready to take serious action if their concerns are not addressed.
