At least five people have reportedly killed been in the last 24-hours across the country.
The reports span across five police divisions.
In one of the latest incidents, a woman was stabbed to death in Rockfort in the Kingston Eastern Police division.
She’s 51-year-old Maxine Lindsay of 31 Water Road in Kingston 2.
The matter was reported to the Police just before 9 last evening.
Early at about 5:30 in the afternoon, a fisherman was shot and killed in Sandy Bay, Hanover.
Dead is 35-year-old Burnett Orlando Marston, otherwise called “Blood Stain”of McQuarrie District, Hopewell in the parish.
In the St. Catherine South Police division, just after midday, two men were shot, one fatally during a confrontation with the Police.
The Police say a single-action 9-milli-metre pistol along with a magazine containing seven rounds was seized.
In another Police division around that same time, a man was shot and killed.
Twenty-seven year old Garfield Henry was reportedly shot by unknown assailants in Olympic Gardens in the St. Andrew South Police division.
The body of Kevin Samuels otherwise called “Whoodini” was also found at about 1 am yesterday morning with multiple chop wounds in New Kingston.
Meanwhile, three people were killed in crashes in the parishes of St. Catherine and St. Andrew.
Early this morning, at about 3:30 am, a Policeman and a woman were killed in a motor vehicle collision in St. Catherine.
Dead is Constable Rammone Smith.
The woman has not yet been identified.
The collision involved a truck and a white Nissan AD wagon car on the Dam Head main road near the Fresco gas station in the parish.
And an unidentified male pedal cyclist also died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision in Duhaney Park in the St. Andrew South Police division.
