Six more COVID-19 fatalities have been recorded in the country.
That’s according to the Health and Wellness Ministry’s latest update.
The number of COVID-19 deaths now stands at 259
The majority of the deceased are from St. Elizabeth.
The deaths occurred between September 8 and October 12.
Meanwhile, 215 newly confirmed cases were recorded.
The total number of positive cases in the island now stands at 86,722.
1,125 samples were tested.
This represents a positivity rate of 18-point-1 percent.
The number of active cases now stands at 29,175.
There were 176 recoveries.
This brings the total number of recoveries to 54,895.
The number of hospitalizations now stands at 393.
94 are moderately ill, 48 are severely ill and 21 are critical.
