Jamaica recorded 601 Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours. That’s according to the Health and Wellness Ministry’s latest update.

This brings the number of positive cases to 78 thousand 5 hundred and 90. In the update, 1,546 samples were tested. This represents a positivity rate of 37.5 per cent.

Meanwhile, four more people have died from Covid-19 complications. The deaths occurred over a 24 hour period between September 14 and 15. This brings the total number of Covid-19 fatalities in the island to 1,772.

In the meantime, 134 recoveries were recorded. This brings the number of recoveries to 50, 495. The number of hospitalisations are now at 708. In addition, 168 are moderately ill, 104 are severely ill and 56 are considered critical.
