Kingston’s Mayor, Senator Delroy Williams, says the deadly attacks on the members of the homeless population are a stain on the municipality.
Mayor Williams is also Chairman of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, the KSAMC.
He says the staff of Corporation is traumatized by the killings.

The Mayor of Kingston says the attacks on some of society’s most vulnerable represent a sad day for the Corporation.
According to Mayor Williams, some of the people killed during the attack are well-known to staff of the KSAMC.
He says the municipal corporation is in shock and grief.
The Mayor is urging more homeless people to make use of the secure facilities that are available.
And, Mayor Williams says moves are being made to make additional safe spaces available for people who are homeless and require shelter.
