‘Ability’ the mount of Allen Maragh for trainer Patrick Lynch won the 103rd running of the Jamaica Derby, the third and final jewel of the 2023 Triple Crown series at Caymanas Park, yesterday.

‘Ability’ upset the pre-race favourites ‘Mojito’ and Thalita’ in the feature event on the 11-race programme to secure a a purse of $7.5 million.

Lynch says he had to review how he prepared the horse after its performance in the Guineas.
