Justice Minister Delroy Chuck says the Dogs [Liability for Attacks] Act 2020 could be passed in the House of Representatives, tomorrow.
The legislation seeks to impose civil and criminal liability on delinquent dog owners.
Minister Chuck says parliamentarians have settled on amendments to the bill.
He says the legislation will ensure that owners are charged if their dogs roam the street or get out of control and injure someone.
Minister Chuck notes this legislation is limited.
But he says there are also other legislation to be updated, to ensure stray dogs who have no owners, to be impounded.
He says there are other legislation to prevent the importation of certain dogs into the island.
