The number of active monkey pox cases on the island has fallen to three.
This after an additional two people recovered from the virus last week. There have been 10 recoveries from the 14 confirmed cases recorded in the island so far.
The single death remains under investigation. The Ministry of Health has so far conducted 30 tests for monkeypox.
Jamaicans are being reminded to take all necessary steps to protect themselves from the virus. Symptoms include fever, chills, intense headaches and extreme exhaustion.
