Rising Jamaican high school star, Alana Reid, will face her sternest challenge yet when she lines up in the women’s 100 metres at the Los Angeles Grand Prix in California, on Saturday.

The Hydel High standout and national junior record holder, has been drawn in heat 1 with the likes of Briana Williams and Sha’Carri Richardson.

Two other Jamaicans Ashanti Moore Kiara Grant will be in heat 2 with Marie Jose Ta Lou. The top four in each heat will run in the final.

National champion, Jaheel Hyde, will face the second fastest man in history over the 400 metre hurdles, Rai Benjamin, and Commonwealth Games champion, Kyron McMaster.

Danniel Thomas Dodd is entered in the women’s shot put with World champion, Chase Ealey, of the United States.

Shadae Lawrence lines up in the women’s discuss while Stacey-Ann Williams battles Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic in the women’s 400 metres.
