A person of interest who was being sought by the police for setting a man on fire on Saturday, September 19 has been arrested and charged.

He is 36-year-old Omarley Dennie, otherwise called “Neilly Blacks” of Denham Town in Kingston.

Dennie is said to be an influential member of the One Away Gang. He’s charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Dennie was one of two men who set a resident ablaze in Denham Town when he refused to participate in a protest following the fatal shooting of the gang’s leader.

The leader, Armani Malcolm otherwise called “Bling Dawg”, was reportedly killed the previous day, September 18.

The other man, known only as CJ and is a member of the One Away Gang, is still being sought by the police.

He’s being asked to surrender himself to the Denham Town police no later than, Wednesday.

The police are urging those with information on CJ’s location to contact the Denham Town police, the 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
