Worcestershire has signed West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph as their overseas player for the opening phase of the 2021 season.

Joseph will fly in from Antigua in April 4 and is available for seven county championships fixtures.

The 24 year old has played 24 test and took 34 wickets, while in 34 ODIs in picked up 54 dismissals.

He has also developed into a useful performer with the bat, and in two of his last three tests apperances he scored 86 against New Zealand and 82 against Bangladesh.

Joseph grabbed headlines world wide after his debut for the Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

His figure of 6 for 12 are the best by a bowler in the competition’s history.
