Jamaica’s Amber Group and Guyana’s Beharry Group have formed a strategic joint venture to establish a new information technology and cybersecurity services company, Beharry-Amber Technologies Inc.

The venture is aimed at strengthening Guyana’s rapidly evolving digital infrastructure.

The partnership brings together two major Caribbean enterprises at a time when Guyana’s fast-growing economy and government-led digital transformation agenda are driving increased demand for scalable, locally anchored technology and cybersecurity solutions.

According to the companies, the new entity will provide end-to-end information technology and cybersecurity services to both government and private sector clients, positioning itself as a one-stop technology platform capable of serving domestic needs while supporting regional demand.

Chairman and chief executive officer of Beharry Group, Suresh Beharry, said Guyana has reached a critical stage in its development where digital infrastructure and cybersecurity are essential to sustainable growth. He said the joint venture is intended to support the country’s modernisation efforts by building reliable, future ready technology capabilities.

Beharry said Amber Group was selected as a partner based on its proven delivery record, technical depth, and shared commitment to long term regional impact.

For his part, founder and chief executive officer of Amber Group, Dushyant Savadia, said the collaboration goes beyond commercial objectives, describing it as a shared investment in Guyana’s growth, resilience, and technological advancement. He noted Beharry Group’s longstanding contribution to national development and said the joint venture would play a meaningful role in strengthening digital infrastructure and improving cybersecurity preparedness.

The launch comes as Guyana continues to attract significant investment across its energy, infrastructure, financial services sectors. This underscores the need for secure and resilient digital systems. Built on a combination of strong local roots and global technical expertise, Beharry-Amber Technologies Inc. is expected to align closely with national digital transformation priorities.

Beharry Group is one of Guyana’s largest and most diversified conglomerates, with interests spanning banking, insurance, logistics, manufacturing, automotive, retail, quick service restaurants, and industrial services. Amber Group is among the Caribbean’s leading technology firms, with expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and large scale digital transformation, and operations across multiple continents.

The companies said the joint venture is positioned to become a key enabler of innovation, security, and operational efficiency as Guyana continues its emergence as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
