Public commentator, Germaine Barrett, says civil society groups have a crucial role to play in helping to explain how corruption compromises the ability of governments to provide services to its people.
He was reacting to the findings of the Nationwide/Bluedot Polls powered by Total Tools, that found that a significant number of Jamaicans believe the government is extremely corrupt.
Mr. Barrett says some players in civil society may be reluctant to make that kind of intervention due to their fear of being attacked by political tribalists.
