Professor Brendan Bain says he felt embarrassed and stiffed as a result of the actions of the University of the West Indies, UWI, after the institution issued him with a letter of termination.

He made the comments as he continued his testimony on day two of his legal battle with the UWI at the Supreme Court today.

Professor Bain says shortly after he received the termination letter, he attended a meeting of regional experts on HIV/AIDS.

He says he attended the meeting in his capacity as Director of the Caribbean HIV/AIDS Regional Training program, CHART.

But he says a Director-Designate appointed by UWI to replace him as head of CHART, also turned up at the meeting

He says he was uncertain how to operate.

Meanwhile, Justice Lenox Campbell delayed his ruling on whether to extend the injunction granted to Professor Bain last year June.

That injunction barred the University from terminating Bain until the matter was heard by the Court.

Justice Campbell said he would deliver that ruling tomorrow morning.
