Chief Executive Officer of Barita Investments Limited, Senator Ramon Small-Ferguson, is banking on collaborations between government and the private sector to drive growth in the coming years.

Speaking at Barita’s 48th Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Small-Ferguson notes that Jamaica’s recovery could take a few years.

He believes the make-or-break factor will be the implementation of the government’s National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority NaRRA.

With the country operating in a post Hurricane Melissa environment, CEO of Barita Investments Limited, Senator Ramon Small-Ferguson, says the country still has some tough years ahead.

Small Ferguson believes the country’s future growth prospects will rely on public-private partnership.

This is to be led by the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority NaRRA.

The law to establish NaRRA was signed into law in May.

Major General Antony Anderson is to lead the entity geared towards guiding Jamaica’s post-Hurricane Melissa recovery.

Despite a tough year, Barita Investments Limited capped 2025 with three-billion dollars in net profit, holding nearly one-hundred-fifty-billion dollars in assets and a total operating revenue of nearly nine-billion dollars.

Small Ferguson says the group’s strategy in this post-Melissa reality will be consolidation and integration to better drive gains for shareholders.
