Member of Parliament for West Central, St. Catherine, the JLP’s, Dr. Ken Baugh, has confirmed that he’ll be bowing out of representational politics before the next general elections, which are constitutionally due in 2016.

The Cornwall College Old Boy first entered representational politics in 1980, as MP for North West St. James.
He served as the country’s Health Minister between 1980 and 1989.
Labour party sources tell our news center that Councilor for the Point Hill division, Devon Wint and Opposition Senator, Marlene Malahoo Forte are in the running to replace Dr. Baugh.
It’s understood that the former MP for South West. St. Elizabeth, Dr. Christopher Tufton, has also expressed an interest in the seat.
