Former Prime Minister Bruce Golding says he remains in favour of fixed election dates.

The issue of fixed elections dates is again the topic of discussion, after the PNP placed the nation on election watch in July, only for the Prime Minister to say that voters will not go to the polls this year.

Mr. Golding has been a supporter of fixed elections since the mid 1990s.

Mr. Golding says he’s also in support of politicians declaring their financial and health status to their constituents.

His comments come in the wake of a declaration by Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness that he will be declaring his medical and financial records.
