Reggae Girlz forward, Khadia “Bunny” Shaw was among the goal scorers in Manchester City’s come from behind 3-1 win over neighbours Manchester United in the Women’s Super League, WSL, at Old Trafford, on Sunday.
In front of a record 43,615 strong crowd for the Manchester derby, Gareth Taylor’s side reminded the city of their superiority in the women’s game, despite having only 10 players for the final 15 minutes.
United captain Katie Zelem had put the hosts in front, scoring from the penalty spot in the 21st minute.
However, City’s Jill Roord and team-mate Lauren Hemp scored within two minutes of each other to turn the game around in the visitors’ favour.
City added a third after the break when Shaw charged down goalkeeper Mary Earps’ clearance.
The victory moves City up to third in the WSL table, six points behind leaders Chelsea, while United sit one point behind in fourth.
