The CEO of the Firearm Licensing Authority, Shane Dalling, is being accused of being ‘alarmist’ for his handling of a number of investigations undertaken under his stewardship of the authority over the past year.

Mr. Dalling appeared before Parliament’s Internal and External Affairs Committee yesterday to give an account of the progress he’s made at reforming the FLA since his hiring in 2017.

During his questioning, he was asked about an investigation into a so-called gun making machine in Manchester.

But Committee Member, Peter Bunting, dismissed Mr. Dalling’s argument.

Mr. Bunting accused Mr. Dalling of being alarmist in his pronouncements.
