National Security Minister, Peter Bunting, is to make a statement in the House of Representatives tomorrow on the non-binding Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Simpson Miller administration and Britain, about the building of a maximum security prison.
The Government is facing heavy criticism for signing the MOU.
The new facility, which should house about 2-thousand inmates, is central to a prisoner relocation deal between both countries.
Provision will be made for up to 3-hundred Jamaicans serving prison sentences in the UK to be transferred to the new prison to complete their sentences.
Meanwhile, the Health Minister, Dr. Fenton Ferguson, is to make a statement about efforts to contain the spread of hand, foot and mouth disease which is spreading across the island.
